Is this good for younger kids?

Yes. It's our simplest, quickest bar and works well from age 3 with a host at the table. Beads and charms are small parts, so we don't recommend it for children under 3.

Can it run alongside another bar?

That's one of its best uses. It has a smaller footprint and shorter run time, so it pairs easily with slime, lip gloss, or plush.
